Should You Keep Your Skin Care Products in the Fridge?
It may seem like a silly question to ask or to even ponder. After all, who would put skin care product in the refrigerator? This is the pace to put food not beauty products, right? Well, there could also be an argument that when we read the directions on most cosmetic products it says to keep in a cool place away from the sun, well a fridge would certainly fall into that category. There is the added benefit that something cooling added directly to the skin can be soothing as well. Plus, it will keep bacteria from getting into the products as well, but is this really always necessary?
Well, it would really come down to the type of skin care product it is. For example, if a skin care product is made from all natural ingredients such as Aloe vera, and rose water it is usually a good idea to refrigerate. Another thing that should always be refrigerated is a homemade facial mask that is made from food products. As for other types of skin care products refrigerating isn’t always necessary and some beauty consultants don’t feel makes much difference in the effectiveness of the product or its shelf life. So, it would really come down to preference, turns out keeping skin care products in a fridge isn’t always necessary.
